How to reach the Expo

Organize your trip to Dubai ahead of time with your travel agency or go online.

In Italy there are direct flights to Dubai from Bologna, Venice, Rome, and Milan with Emirates and direct flights to Abu Dhabi from Rome with Etihad. Before traveling find out about the health requisites required by the UAE due to Covid-19.

Expo 2020 will take place in the area called “Dubai South.” We suggest you take the red subway line and get off at the “Expo 2020” stop. This new station can host 36,000 passengers each hour.

Dubai offers a very satisfactory number of taxis managed by private companies who are always on call at main hotels and airports. We also suggest you download the “Careem” or “Uber” App which can greatly facilitate a taxi search for distant sections of town.

The San Marino Pavilion is located in the “Opportunity” thematic district, which is a 10-minute walk from the main entrance. The three thematic districts at the Expo are connected by shuttles.

At the main entrance you will have to provide a valid original ID and ticket. For security reasons, backpacks and bags will be checked at the entrance.

Accomodations

Dubai is a tourist destination with a vast selection of hotels and apartments. Check out the main platforms to book your hotel online or ask a travel agency.

The San Marino Pavilion does not offer accommodation services for visitors.

How should I dress?

Dressing light is appropriate year round, but you may need to bring some heavier clothing (e.g. sweaters) during the winter or if there is air conditioning.

Generally, there are no rigid dress codes, but you should respect the local culture: for example, tight or provocative clothing is not advised, especially in places families may go to, like malls and restaurants.

During your stay we suggest you wear sunscreen and always carry a bottle of water with you.
