news The San Marino pavilion celebrates 150 thousand visitors at Expo 2020 Dubai 04 February 2022

The number of visitors to Expo 2020 Dubai has reached over 11 million. With 58 days and two thematic weeks left before the end of the event, this week's attendance numbers were boosted by a concert by Black Eyed Peas, music by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman and a question-and-answer session with Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, who visited the UAE during a break from football commitments.

A third of all visitors come from areas outside the Emirates, with 10% coming from India, 10% from Saudi Arabia, 6% from Germany and 5% from Russia. The numbers will be further strengthened in the coming weeks by the restart of school visits to Dubai and the Young Stars program of Expo.

In this scenario, a very important goal for the San Marino Pavilion has been achieved, with the pavilion reaching 150 thousand presences since the beginning of the event. According to the data gathered from the questionnaire which can be filled in on the official app "The Treasure of Domagnano", visitors come mainly from Asia and the host country of the United Arab Emirates. Many of them did not know the history and the location of the country and resulted very keen to visit the Republic after having toured the pavilion accompanied by the team of volunteers.

The Director Letizia Cardelli comments: "The goal of 150,000 visits confirms the positive trend of this Expo, both in its ability to arouse curiosity and attract a varied presence of visitors, and in giving the Pavilions the status of real attractions for all interests: the San Marino Pavilion certainly owes part of its success to the products on sale in the Shop, carefully selected to represent the Republic in its excellence, as well as to the ability of its staff to make visitors fond of the history of our country. Many, in fact, come back -even several times- to buy again, to strengthen friendships, and to deepen the information received: additionally, there are also investors interested in the possible benefits that San Marino offers to companies".
