After the inauguration of the San Marino Pavilion for the Secretary of State for Tourism is a day of bilateral meetings and institutional appointments.

This morning, as part of his mission to the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of the inauguration of the San Marino Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020, the Secretary of State for Tourism Federico Pedini Amati, together with the General Commissioner Mauro Maiani, has I received a visit from the Secretary General of the Bureau in the VIP lounge of the pavilion International des Expositions (BIE) Dimitri S. Kerkentzes. 'I am very satisfied that the meeting took place this morning in our pavilion with Kerkentzes: the Secretary General of the BIE confirmed the importance of participation of Small States in Universal Exhibitions. He supported and supports ours Country and vice versa San Marino, through the presence of Commissioner General Mauro Maiani within the BIE, supports the organization that Kerkentzes represents. It was a great honor for me to have him here today, I gave him our total willingness to continue the path in the context of the Expo.

 In the afternoon, Pedini Amati will visit the pavilions of Germany and Saudi Arabia and, in the late one afternoon, he will go to the Italian Pavilion for a grand tour of the same together with the Commissioner Mauro Maiani (Commissioner of San Marino at Expo 2020): “It was a great honor for me and all my staff having hosted the Secretary General of the BIE in the San Marino Pavilion Dimitri Kerkentzes.His presence here today as the first official visit to the pavilion is the sincere demonstration of the great respect and esteem as well as friendship that binds us for years and the consideration and the respect that unites him to San Marino, a very active country within the BIE. Thanks to Dimitri Kerkentzes for appreciating San Marino's candidacy to join the commission culture and training of the BIE and for emphasizing the importance of small villages to universal exhibitions ".
