San Marino is easy to reach: here’s how to arrive using one of the following means of transportation.
By airplane
The international airport closest to San Marino and which offers connecting flights to international destinations is the Aeroporto “G. Marconi” in Bologna, which is 130 km away and therefore a one-hour car ride from San Marino.
The “Fellini” Rimini-San Marino international airport is found in Misano at approximately 30 km from San Marino and is used almost exclusively by low-cost companies or charter flights from Russia and other destinations in Northern Europe.
The “L. Ridolfi” Forlì airport is found at approximately 70 km from San Marino and is used by charter flights and low-cost companies.
Torraccia aerodrome – San Marino: an aerodrome with landing strip (on grass) extending 650 m in length is found in San Marino. It is ideal for small tourist aircraft.
By car
San Marino can be easily reached from Autostrada A14 Bologna-Ancona. It is best to exit at Rimini Sud and then take the Superstrada Rimini-San Marino SS72.
By train
The train station closest to San Marino is found in Rimini and is connected to all of Italy.
