pielleitalia is a leading company in the manufacturing of sustainable clothing and accessories such as uniforms and merchandising that will sponsor the San Marino Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020. The partnership was made official during the meeting in which both the Commissioner General for the Expo Mauro Maiani and Giuseppe Pezzini, CEO of pielleitalia, concluded the agreement. 

Since the early '80s, thanks to its continuous research and evolution, pielleitalia has become a benchmark in the sale of technical fabrics and in the production of high-performance clothing. From the 90s onwards, the company entered the communication and merchandising market, providing strategic consultancy to the private sector in the implementation of circular economy models. To continue the project, they started from textiles and enhanced the processes and activities of the specific customer, thus guaranteeing sustainable and ethical development.

pielleitalia is indeed synonymous with research and innovation, which is driven by social and environmental awareness. Its uniqueness lies in its ability to build intersectoral projects involving partners with different skills while sharing the common objective of developing innovative technologies that have a positive impact on the environment, society and governance. 

In this respect, pielleitalia is working on the recycling of polyamide, a non-allergenic material that, in a circular economy perspective, can be reused several times, enabling the recovery of garments that can be turned into plastic once again. This constitutes a valid example of how to combine economic processes respecting the environment and the beauty and quality of products.
