The sponsorship agreement between the Commissioner General for Expo, Mauro Maiani, and the three Fabbri sisters, Monica, Marta and Morena, was recently signed at Marlù’s headquarters in Domagnano. These successful women, mothers and businesswomen were able to express all their feminine sensitivity and passion in a new way of thinking and proposing jewellery by founding the Marlù brand in 2001.

 

Creativity, ideas and skills are the hallmarks of a remarkable revolution in San Marino entrepreneurship, something that today is reflected in 39 flagship stores, 190 spaces, 1500 multi-brand points of sale throughout Italy, together with a new e-commerce portal.

 

Marlù marks its presence at Expo Dubai with an exclusive selection of jewellery from its most important and significant collections, which will be sold in the shop area of the San Marino Pavilion.

Furthermore, in honour of the Treasure of Domagnano, which belongs to the Goth period and that will be the main attraction in the pavilion's exhibition space, the brand will present some revisited jewels from the Vision collection, in a limited edition. The sun, protagonist of the parure, is pierced in the centre and coloured with a transparent red enamel. The manufacturing wants to recall the cloisonné technique that was used in the making of the Jewels of the Goths. Similarly to this technique, the small metal cells which make up the design of the jewels are indeed filled with coloured enamels.

 

“Our brand has always emphasised the importance of diversity," explains Marta Fabbri, Marlù's marketing and communications manager. "Each one of us is different from everyone else, each one of us is unique, unrepeatable, even if nowadays everything and everyone encourages us to always compare ourselves to others. We are constantly changing, going through thousands of different thoughts, emotions and moods, and it is precisely from the mutability and uniqueness of each moment that creativity and innovation are born. Therefore, Marlú's mission lies not only in joyfully accepting the uniqueness of each of us, but in doing much more: enhancing it like a precious jewel. Hence the desire to always explore new worlds".

 

The participation in Expo represents in fact Marlù's first step towards the internationalisation of the brand, whose objective for the next six months is to extend the vast and already launched Franchising project to EU and non-EU countries. An ambition that is perfectly in line with the theme of this edition of Expo entitled "Connecting Minds, Creating the future".

 

Commissioner Mauro Maiani commented on the sponsorship agreement: "I am very pleased to add another prestigious, young and dynamic company from San Marino to our project of presence and representation of the Republic in the international market of the Middle East, a market that represents a valid and potential new business hub for our products and our creativity. In addition to this, the exclusive product line designed and created for Expo Dubai 2020, which will be used exclusively for institutional gifts, will add a touch of elegance and glam to our image and to our Pavilion”.
