news SAN MARINO. Expo 2020: Pedini Amati visits the San Marino Pavilion 10 April 2021

The Secretary of State for Tourism, Federico Pedini Amati, today visited the San Marino pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020 – an event due to get under way October 1, 2021. The building that will play host to San Marino, which measures more than 350 m2 across two floors, is situated in the “opportunity” area, just a short distance from the nerve center of the Expo and from the UAE pavilion. Construction work is now complete, and in the next phase, as the opening of the event approaches, the spaces will be fitted out in accordance with a design that the San Marino Commissariat will unveil over the coming weeks. For Secretary of State Pedini Amati, accompanied by the Commissioner for the Expo and Ambassador of San Marino to the UAE, Mauro Maiani, there was great satisfaction in seeing the progress that has been made, the quality of the finish in the pavilion and, above all, the privileged position in which it is located.

At the end of the visit to the site that will serve as the Expo venue, Secretary of State Pedini Amati was received by the Minister for International Cooperation and Director General of the Expo, Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy.

The Secretary of State for Tourism also attended an informal meeting with the Dubai Tourist Board, with whose technicians he discussed San Marino’s upcoming participation at the Arabian Travel Market, one of the most high-profile international tourism fairs.

Mr. Pedini Amati (Secretary of State for Tourism, Cooperation, the Postal Service and the Expo) stated: “I am delighted by the progress made on the San Marino Pavilion at Expo Dubai. I must say that the great work being done by Commissioner Mauro Maiani and by the local workforce has made sure that the building that will host San Marino is ready, operational and fully aligned with our requirements. I am very happy to see that the San Marino Pavilion is at the center of the Expo area, in an extremely advantageous position just a short walk from the exhibition space of the host country. I am certain that we will succeed in making the most of our participation at Expo 2020.”
