Dubai - Monday, January 31, 2022

The eighth thematic week dedicated to Health has started at Expo 2020 Dubai and the San Marino Pavilion had the pleasure of welcoming the State Minister for Health Roberto Ciavatta, who traveled to Dubai to attend some appointments of the Arab Health Conference 2022 as well, scheduled in these same days in the Emirates city.

In the morning, at the opening of the Expo doors, the designated Ambassador of San Marino in the United Arab Emirates Elisabetta Bucci, Director Letizia Cardelli, Sales Manager Sara Conti, Media Manager llaria Brizi and the volunteers of the Pavilion welcomed -besides the Minister- also the Private Secretary Christian Ferrari and the Managing Director of Cassa di Risparmio Dr. Gianfranco Vento

The Universal Exposition is the first major global event to take place since the beginning of the pandemic and it proved to be an important opportunity for the Minister Roberto Ciavatta to renew a comparison with foreign realities in the Health field. The international nature of the event has in fact allowed to deepen and promote with other countries a series of initiatives that San Marino has activated, such as the realization of the new hospital, a project that is also mentioned in the tablet of the interactive table of the Pavilion dedicated to the health system. A system, which aroused the amazement and admiration of many visitors to Expo, precisely because of its free and universal nature.

Minister Ciavatta commented on his visit to Expo in Dubai: "This is my first trip abroad since the beginning of the pandemic, not only to visit the San Marino Pavilion but also to have the opportunity to be present at the events of the Health Week in a country that makes technological innovation and planning its strong points. Dubai is in fact a strategic area in which it is important to weave relationships and open collaborations that can bring local people closer to our reality to ensure a mutual benefit. There are many pavilions showing good practices and new frontiers of research in the various countries. Even San Marino is working on some projects in this region of the world, in the field of training, research and provision of services".

The day at Expo continued with the visit of the institutional delegation to the Italy and USA pavilions, where the State Minister was welcomed by the respective Commissioners General Paolo Glisenti and Robert G. Clark, and then continued to the Russia, Israel, Luxembourg, and Andorra Pavilions and concluded with a tour of the Pavilion of the host country: the United Arab Emirates.
