San Marino, June 13, 2024 – This morning, Filippo Francini, the Government Commissioner General for participation in the Osaka 2025 Universal Exposition, and Emanuel Colombini, President of the Agency for Economic Development – Chamber of Commerce, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to define the operational methods of collaboration related to activities to be carried out for the success of the event, both in San Marino during the preparation phase and in Osaka at the Pavilion during the exposition.
The signing of the agreement marks a significant milestone in the lead-up to the start of the Japanese Expo, which will open on April 13, 2025, and will remain open to over 28 million expected visitors for six months until October 13. “I am pleased,” stated Commissioner General Francini, “with today’s signing, we are renewing the collaboration that has already proven fruitful with the Agency for Economic Development. Among the objectives, beyond regulating the technical and financial procedures, is to carry out activities that promote the economic growth of our country.”
“With the signing of this agreement, we are confident we can continue the successful collaboration we had for the previous edition,”said President Colombini. “We are consolidating past experience, capitalizing on it, and enhancing it with additional services, including the presence of an on-site Business Representative. We also anticipate economic growth opportunities for businesses in our territory and the creation of connections that will bring long-term benefits through meetings that will take place during the months of the exposition in Osaka.”
